The Key

 One night in church, our pastor mentioned the 'key to the city'.

It was during an extended ministry-time towards the end of the service, and many of us were lying on the floor.

After he said it, I was silently thinking to myself, 𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘸𝘦'𝘷𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘬𝘦𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘺—𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘬𝘦𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘏𝘰𝘭𝘺 𝘎𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘵!

(What was happening right then in the room—hosting the presence of the Lord; people lying on the floor, yielding in the Spirit; allowing the manifestation of the Spirit—only to do so with even more abandon, and consistently—I was musing silently within myself: That's the key to the city!)

As I lay there I also spoke in tongues a little—not loudly, just to myself and to God.

Then a brother lying on the floor near me started laughing.

He rolled towards me, half sat up, and said to me, “When you spoke in tongues just then, I heard you say, 'But we've got the key to the city!' "

Meanwhile a vision was seen of a golden key.

He was smiling so broadly!

Afterwards, I spontaneously wrote this little piece:
