God has put His Spirit in each of us, if we've been born again. The Spirit will guide us in our spirit. He'll even do so in the small things of life, if we're sensitive to it.
For example, you may be about to walk out of your apartment to go down to the basement carpark and drive to work - but for some unknown reason you'll feel a hesitancy in your spirit. Instead of ignoring it, pause for a moment. It could be that you don't actually have your car keys with you. Or you may have forgotten something else important.
The Spirit likes to save us even from small inconveniences. How much more the big things in life! Lord teach us to listen to our spirit.
