Revelation - Not All Chronological?

Could it be that not every vision in the Book of Revelation is meant to be interpreted as a series of sequential events to be fulfilled in chronological order? Instead could it be possible that at least some of the visions might largely overlap one another in their subject matter and in the timeframe of their fulfillment?
