If someone gets Romans 9-11 right, I reckon he gets the rest of Romans right, and Paul right, Bible Prophecy right, he's probably rightly dividing the Word - getting the Gospel right.
Or put it another way: if someone gets the Gospel right, if he rightly divides the Word, gets Bible Prophecy right, gets Paul right, and gets the overall flow of what Romans is talking about - then he'll get chapters 9-11 right too.
So, asking someone what he thinks about Romans 9-11 is a pretty good litmus test - it quickly locates where he's at in his overall understanding of the Gospel, of the place the Gospel has in the overall plan and purpose of God, in Scripture and in history.
