Is a Jewish Millennium Required in Order to Fulfil Israel's Destiny?

Some people say the land-promises, kingdom-promises, salvation-promises and other promises given to Israel through the Patriarchs and Prophets have never been fully fulfilled, and must be fulfilled in the future.

Some of them say the promises and prophecies have only now begun to be fulfilled in Israel in our generation, and will speed-up during what they call the Great Tribulation, after the Church has been removed to heaven. I respond to that paradigm here.

Others of them say a literal, future, Jewish Millennium is also required in order to fulfil the promises and prophecies. But the Apostles didn't state that any such thing will be needed in order to see prophecy fulfilled - rather, they explained that the Gospel of Jesus Christ was the fulfilment.

The land-promises spoken to Israel were fulfilled in the days of Joshua. Later they were sent into captivity, but not before the promise of being restored to their land were spoken. And at the appointed time they were indeed regathered to their land and the Temple was rebuilt, in fulfilment of prophecy. Every one of Israel's enemies lost their kingdom. People out of all nations began travelling to Jerusalem to keep the Feast. We see an example of this in Acts 2.

Messiah was to come, in that historical context. And He did. The Apostles explained that the salvation Jesus announced to Israel was witnessed by the Law and the Prophets. They explained the inclusion of believing Gentiles, and the exclusion of unbelieving Jews. Only the born-again shall see the Kingdom of heaven when it comes. Unrighteousness shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Flesh and blood shall not inherit the kingdom of God. The final judgement precedes the open coming of the Kingdom. The kingdom will be eternal, and in new heavens and a new earth. Abraham saw the Gospel of Jesus, and these eternal, heavenly things.
