On Mixtures of Judaism with Christ

The more I see the Gospel demonstrated in its true simplicity, life and power (seeing faith in action, hearing of those who endured hardship, seeing demonstrations of the Spirit and of power such as healings and miracles, seeing supernatural love and truth, and beautifully changed lives) the more lame the mixture of Judaism with Christianity seems to me.

Add-ons of elements of modern Judaism are only appealing when a person's daily experience of the Gospel leaves them craving something more meaningful.

Prayer shawls. Sabbaths. New moons. Hanukkah. The star of David. Songs in minor keys. Diets. Kippah. Old Feast dates.

But the answer to that craving is not to add in a mix of Judaism. The only truly satisfying answer is the raw Gospel in all its simplicity and power.

The Gospel is what the Patriarchs, the Law, the Prophets, John the Baptist, the Lord and the Apostles all spoke about.

Jesus Christ. The way, the truth and the life.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek - Romans 1:16

When you are experiencing Him in all His fullness, His mere shadow loses its appeal.
