On the Post-Millennial Hope

Does a nationwide conversion of Jews need to happen, in order for Old Testament prophecy to be fulfilled?

Many Old Testament prophecies concerning the restoration of Israel included Levitical themes, which obviously must have been fulfilled during Old Covenant times.

Therefore the prophesied restoration must also now be past – otherwise Levitical worship would be required again in Israel's future – but that’s impossible.

The same prophecies often also included mention of the Messiah and the salvation which He would accomplish for all Israel – which the Apostles interpreted as referring to Christ’s first coming and the Gospel.

Therefore the prophesied salvation of Israel must refer to the salvation which has already been experienced according to the scheme of the Gospel – otherwise the Messiah hasn’t come yet, and no-one has been saved yet.

The Gospel’s scheme, Paul explained, was that Bible-Prophecies concerning the procurement of salvation for all Israel, were indeed fulfilled for all Israel – but experienced only by believers. An outcome which the Prophets themselves foresaw.

I don’t know that there’s any specific Prophecy indicating the Prophets foresaw a still-future time when every last Jew will believe. Or even that the majority will believe. And that once attained, that state would then be sustained until the end.

Rather than resting on Post-Millennial laurels, I'm motivated to put in effort to by all means save some.

I’m sure Jesus is the prophesied Messiah - and God’s plans for Israel no longer involve Judaism.

JESUS gives salvation to them that BELIEVE.
