Who Were the Rulers of This World Who Did Not Understand?

Jesus commanded Satan to get behind Him, when Peter attempted to discourage the idea of Him going to the cross. Yet it was Satan who filled Judas' heart to betray Him. No doubt it was also Satan who wanted Herod to kill baby Jesus; and who wanted the priests to crucify Him. Who were the rulers of this world who did not understand, or else they would never have crucified the Lord of glory?
