No Need to Change the Subject

Bible-Prophecies and Promises concerning physical Israel either:

1. Failed; or
2. They're Future; or
3. They're Figurative - or
4. They've been Fulfilled

Four f's - failed, future, figurative, or fulfilled.

Judaism, Dispensational Pre-Millennialism, classic Post-Millennialism and some A-Millennialists rely on the fulfilment being either future or figurative.

But my understanding is that promises concerning Israel were fulfilled. Literally. Physically. In Israel.

That historical, physical fact is a basis for the Gospel assertion.

Current world affairs can therefore be interpreted in light of that fact - in light of the fact that Prophecy and Promise were fulfilled - rather than having the outlook that prophecies and promises are still awaiting their direct fulfilment.

So the promised salvation of Israel didn't fail - nor is it future - nor is it figurative of the Church - it was fulfilled, literally, on a large scale, in physical Israel.

Salvation was procured for all Israel - but only believing Jews would receive it, as the Prophets also said.

And Gentiles who believed would also be saved - as the Prophets also said directly.

No postponement or allegorisation is necessary.

The scenario which the prophets had foreseen for Israel came to pass exactly in Israel, while the scenario which they'd foreseen for the Gentiles came to pass exactly among the Gentiles.

There was no need for the Apostles to change the subject of the Promises. No need to change the meaning of 'Israel' from having referred to physical Israel to instead mean some other group.

The Apostles took it on face value and used historical fact to prove that prophecy had come true concerning Israel and the nations exactly as promised.
