After someone has died, you can't write directly to the person on Facebook anymore.

You can write about the person - but you can't write to the person.

You can express gratitude about the person, but you can't message the person directly using Facebook.

Or address the person directly, like that.

Except if God allows you to interact with someone through a spiritual vision, I guess.

Just like I don't think we're meant to pray to departed saints.

So talk about the person, not to the person.

Otherwise it's a bit corny.

Heartfelt, no doubt - but not necessarily an accurate way to address ourselves.

Is that right?
