Firstborn

The Bible calls Jesus the first born of His creation.

The Psalms mentions God's covenant to make David His firstborn among all the kings of the earth.

It doesn't mean David was born at that moment. David already existed. It just meant that David would be given an exalted position.

Same with Jesus. The term firstborn doesn't mean Jesus didn't always exist.

It describes the glory that Christ had with the Father.

It means Christ stood out as distinct from creation, in the same way that David was made to stand out as distinct among other kings around the world.

Jesus Christ is distinct from creation. He was before all things and all things were made by Him.

He is the firstborn of God's creatures.
