I asked the Father to send rain to dampen the fires on North Stradbroke island, and wind to blow away the smoke that was blanketing much of South East Queensland. Hundreds had been evacuated from the island.
A day or two later, after a long string of record-breaking hot and dry days, came an unexpected cold change with wind and rain.
One newspaper article had the heading, "COOL RAIN DELIVERS RELIEF TO FIRE ISLAND".
It mentioned "...the cold change..."
"The immediate fire threat has now passed..." it said.
