Why Prophetic Identities Mattered

I'm not a Dispensationalist. But a fault I seem to have observed with many adherents to Covenant Theology, is their inability to see natural Israel in Prophecy and in fulfilment... ...prior to Gentiles being grafted in to the same experience... ...and aside from any wider applications that could subsequently be made. Prophecies which said Israel meant Israel, because when Prophecies meant Gentiles, they said Gentiles! Rather than implying Dispensationalism however, that actually sets up the new identity: the Church, His body - only it shows the historical order by which that came about, which was to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile. Now we all are one new identity, without distinction - but that new scheme had to have its beginning in Israel first. If the geophysical aspect is lost to both Prophecy and fulfilment, then neither can we prove that the historical Jesus of Nazareth was Messiah. That's why it's important.
