Jesus never said that literally Observing the Law in its entirety would always remain an unchanged obligation.
Rather, He virtually said not a jot nor tittle of anything in the entire Old Testament Scriptures would pass away until all had been fulfilled.
The opposite of destroying the Old Testament, was not the literal observance of the Law in its entirety for ages to come - but Christ's fulfiling everything that had been intended by it.
For believers in Jesus, the opposite of making void the law, was not to become observant of the Law - but to believe on the Lord Jesus, and to express that faith through love.
