MALACHI 3:1
Behold, I [God] will send my messenger [John the Baptist], and he shall prepare the way before me [God - but in history, it was Jesus whose ministry followed John's]: and the Lord [God], whom ye seek [they sought God, yet in context it refers to Messiah], shall suddenly come to his temple [the Lord's temple - God's temple - yet in context it spoke of Messiah - Jesus], even the messenger of the covenant [Jesus], whom ye delight in [they were to delight in the Lord, and yet in context it refers to the messenger, which was Jesus]: behold, he [the messenger, the Lord whom they sought, I the Lord, God] shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.
